Personal Accident and CancerCover

AIG Australia Limited has recently undertaken communications to a number of Personal Accident and other Personal Insurance customers.

If you have received a letter, email, notification on your bank statement or phone call from us, it is to ensure that we have the correct information regarding your policy including any other persons that should be listed on your policy as insureds. Where we do not have the correct policy information, it is possible that you are entitled to a premium refund from AIG with interest as well as reduced monthly premiums in future. If you are entitled to a premium refund we may require supporting documentation including birth certificates or other forms of identification.

If you have received a communication from us it is important that you contact our Customer Service Team as soon as possible to discuss your insurance policy.

Our Customer Service Team is available from 9.00am to 5.00pm AEST Monday to Friday. Alternatively, please email us and include your name, policy number and a contact number and we will contact you via phone.

Travel Insurance

For enquiries about existing Travel Insurance policies, please contact us via phone or email.

Emergency Assistance for Travel Insurance Customers

Travel Guard is AIG's wholly-owned emergency assistance provider and is available to help our customers 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. If you require assistance or advice from Travel Guard please phone our Emergency Assistance helpline. Reverse charges can be made from some countries.

If you are a customer of AIG and experience family violence, our Customer Care Team can provide you with access to additional support services, including assistance for financial hardship.  All disclosures to AIG will remain confidential and you will only have to explain your situation to us once.
